An Ode Experience is a way of curating time so it actually feels well spent. How an experience engages your senses — taste, scent, touch, sight, sound, space, time, and system.

Most people plan trips, meals, or weekends using the usual signals: top-X lists, 4.0+ ratings, #thingstodoin, a million likes, or the “you have to try this.”

An Ode Experience plans around how you want to feel.

An experience qualifies when it: engages multiple senses at once, has a clear tempo (fast, slow, or in-between), feels coherent because the pieces fit together, and leaves you with something genuinely memorable

The Ode Framework

Think of it as eight lenses you can use to audit any experience before you commit:

  • Taste: Will what I eat or drink teach me something?

  • Scent: Is there a scent here I’ll want to remember?

  • Touch: Will I physically interact with something meaningful?

  • Sight: Will I see something specific to this place?

  • Sound: Will the soundscape shape how I feel?

  • Space: Will the environment change how I move or stay?

  • Time: Am I matching the tempo I want to feel?

  • System: Does this feel like one coherent experience?

Most experiences hit two or three of these.
The memorable ones hit more.
The transformative ones align all eight.

This page is a growing collection of experiences I’ve curated using this framework (across travel, dining, hospitality, retail, and everyday life) for anyone designing time on purpose: individuals, brands, and event curators.
